The Powellhurst-Gilbert neighborhood borders Montavilla, Hazelwood, and Mill Park to the North, Centennial to the East, Pleasant Valley to the East/South, and Lents and South Tabor to the West. It’s a neighborhood of cultural and ethnic diversity, easily commutable, with well-regarded schools, and with natural greenspaces nearby.

Tigard is a city in Washington Country, located south of Beaverton and north of Tualatin, and still considered part of the Portland metropolitan area. With an historic and revitalized downtown region, farmers market, and beautiful parks and trails, Tigard is a desirable, affordable community with easy access to Portland, Beaverton, and Hillsboro. Tigard Interstate 5 and Oregon Route 217 are the main freeway connectors to the city, with rail services provided by Trimet.
West Linn is a city in Clackamas County with a history of early development, prompted by the opportunity to harvest energy from nearby Willamette Falls. It has beautiful, well-maintained parks and year-round recreational activities, and is right across the river from Oregon City.
Located 7 mi. from downtown Portland and with a population of about 90,000, Beaverton is known for it’s suburban, family-friendly neighborhoods, shopping districts, and highly ranked school. There are a number of green spaces and the city boasts that there is a park within 1/2 mile of every home.
Many of the homes in Bridlemile were built in the 50s, 60s, and early 70s, and the styles include ranch, split levels, and contemporary. A number of new homes were built in the 2000s. If you’re looking for a single level home in the woods, this is your neighborhood. Bridlemile also has a very active neighborhood community dedicated to bringing neighbors together through social events and activities.
Although the area started developing in the 1920s, most of the homes in Hillsdale were built after WWII so you will see an abundance of ranch style homes. With the close proximity of schools, parks, a library, and a shopping center, many families seeking a suburban lifestyle are drawn to this neighborhood. Despite the sleepy feel, Hillsdale is located very close to downtown Portland. The fabulous, year-round Hillsdale Farmers Market is a popular destination.
SW Portland is largely suburban in feel, but Multnomah Village offers a more urban vibe. Restaurants, bars, and shops create a lively environment for locals. The village is at the intersection of Capitol and Multnomah Blvd, a pretty busy road, but it is still pedestrian friendly for the stretch of a few blocks.
Located in the West Hills, the northeastern part of the neighborhood, above Goose Hollow and Downtown Portland, is known as Portland Heights. Much of the western portion of the neighborhood lies outside of Portland city limits, in unincorporated Multnomah County.
Eastmoreland is a beautiful, established neighborhood with lovely traditional, upscale homes primarily built in the 1920s and 1930s. The homes are generally expansive and meticulously cared for. Filled with mature tree lined streets and lush landscaping, the beautiful Reed College campus borders Eastmoreland to the north. This neighborhood is home to Crystal Springs Rhododendron Garden and the Eastmoreland Golf Course.
North Tabor is nestled along the north side of Mount Tabor and offers easy walking distance to Mount Tabor, Laurelhurst, and Normandale Parks. There are a number of restaurants and cafes within the neighborhood which add to a feel of closeness in the community. North Tabor is served by the 60th MAX station.
