Without question, the newlyweds of 97211 have style. With their eye for design, they were naturally drawn to the clean lines of a mid-century home. Focusing on the inner NE and North Portland neighborhoods, they quickly found their vintage home – and it took them less than three weeks.
Like many buyers, the idea of entering the ever-aggressive Portland market initially had them a tad nervous, but their fears were unfounded. The newlyweds assembled a great team of local contacts, pairing Carolyn Korski at First Tech Credit Union with me, Alia Hazen at Scout Realty Co.
The historic neighborhood they now call home is known as Piedmont, which was established in 1889 with a minimum construction cost of a house at $2,500-$3,000. To this day, many of these grand old beauties are still standing.
