Hot off the press & straight to your inbox, a dispatch from the frontlines of the Portland market. Covering real estate numbers, local news, events, & more.
Buyers and sellers are still duking it out over just whose market we’re in! The number of pending sales has ticked up a tad from last month while new listings, closed sales, and market time have cooled. The current Portland market doesn’t appear too keen on being pigeonholed by any definite trends. However, the view from the trenches shows that creampuff houses are still selling at a quick (and competitive) clip, but buyers are exhibiting less tolerance for quirk and compromise. Time will tell!
Overall Portland Prices:
- Average sale price in the metro area for 2018 through July was $453,600, a 6.0% increase from this time last year.
- The median sale price increased 5.8% to $400,000 in the same comparison.
- Rates stayed the same at 4.625% for a 30-year, fixed, conventional with excellent credit.
